The Lithuania-Poland youth exchange program on youth entrepreneurship and the “GO! (Good Opportunity!)” project explored various aspects of youth empowerment, including youth participation, personal development and leadership, collaboration and teamwork, and youth entrepreneurship ethics and values. Through discussions, the group identified barriers to youth participation and proposed solutions such as creating a youth advisory board, hosting youth summits or forums, and developing mentorship programs. The group also recognized the importance of personal development and leadership, collaboration and teamwork, and ethical decision-making in community projects. By investing in these areas, we can create a more inclusive, engaged, and responsible community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth participation is crucial in creating a society that values and empowers young people. During the “GO! (Good Opportunity!)” youth exchange program, we discussed the importance of involving young people in decision-making processes and creating opportunities for them to have a voice. Through our discussions, we identified several barriers that young people face in participating in their communities, including lack of resources, inadequate support systems, and limited opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To address these challenges, our group came up with several recommendations that can help increase youth participation in our communities. First, we suggested creating a youth advisory board that can provide input on community initiatives and projects. This board would be composed of young people from diverse backgrounds who can offer fresh perspectives and ideas on issues that affect them and their peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another recommendation was to host a youth summit or forum where young people can come together to discuss issues that are relevant to them. This forum would provide a platform for young people to share their ideas and experiences, as well as connect with other like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also discussed the importance of developing mentorship programs that can connect young people with experienced professionals in various fields. By providing young people with guidance and support from mentors, they can gain valuable insights into different careers and industries, and develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their chosen paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These guidelines should be communicated clearly to all stakeholders involved in the project, including young people. They should cover topics such as conflict of interest, confidentiality, and honesty. By setting these standards, we can ensure that everyone involved in the project understands what is expected of them and how to behave ethically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second, we recommend encouraging young people to reflect on their personal values and how they can be applied in community projects. By identifying personal values, young people can better understand what motivates them and what they stand for. This, in turn, can help them make more informed decisions and act more ethically in community projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
